Animators and VFX artists are some of our favorite people because they never lose the ability to make-believe. And you can see that in this exclusive clip that uncovers the VFX work behind one of the kookiest scenes in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul — courtesy 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. Hear from author/screenwriter Jeff Kinney and visual effects supervisor Chris LeDoux on how the cast and crew worked together to create a believable seagull siege for this lighthearted family comedy.
Available on Digital HD August 1, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on August 8, The Long Haul, follows a Heffley family road trip to Meemaw’s 90th birthday celebration, which takes a wild detour thanks to Greg’s scheme to attend a video gaming convention. This is the latest film based on the best-selling book series written and illustrated by Kinney.
Blu-ray and DVD special features include “Making a Scene,” “Greg Heffley’s 10 Rules for the Perfect Road Trip,” “Road Games,” “Learn to Draw,” “A Decade of Wimpy Fun,” bloopers and deleted scenes, deleted animation, and “Haulin’ Through Georgia.”
